How will I learn how to dance?
I never dance before and I feel as if I had two left feet.
Learning how to dance is like learning how to speak a new language. The more you practice and speak it, the better you get. The same applies to dancing. No one is born knowing how to dance, so anybody can learn. The key is to be consistent and to practice.
What do you suggest: Private lessons or group classes?
In private lessons you will learn what you need, what you want and at your own pace. In these lessons you are likely to accomplish results faster and more confident, since the instruction is about you and are one on one. Group lessons are great as well, and are less expensive than privates. Group lessons are great to learn ne moves and to practice, but the downside of it is the fact that there is only one instructor for the whole group, so there are a lot of details or things you will miss because the instructor attention is more towards the group, versus the individual.
My best suggestion is start with privates, then combine privates with groups for a more complete learning experience.
Do I need a dance partner for privates or groups?
No you don’t
What is the price and cost for the classes?

What is the format of the private lessons? How do I star? What should I expect?
Everything starts with a first introductory private lesson. In this lesson you will get a detailed evaluation of your strength and weakness as a student (example: great memory, posture, expression, rhythm). Base in that evaluation, you will get a customized program that will help you understand how many lessons you will need, how long it will take for you to dance and the things you can do to speed up your learning process. This way you will get to check the dance lesson and the instructor and see if you like it, with no obligation on your side. The most important is that you have fun and feel comfortable in your lesson.
From then one, your instructor books your lesson for the next time, coordinating available times with your schedule. Each lesson is always structured the following: review of what you read the previous lesson, followed by learning new things, and reviewing everything learned at the end. All lessons are 45 minutes long.
